Types of PVC Film We Manufacture

We manufacture PVC film across six families — clear, coloured transparent, matte, effect, jelly and opaque. Each family is a different formulation and a different surface, and they are not interchangeable: a buyer who orders “clear PVC” and receives “glossy opaque” has a problem. Below is what we actually produce, grouped by how the film behaves.

1. Clear films — transparent, for showing the product

Light transmission is the point here. These films let the contents read clearly, so they are used for display windows, document wallets and protective sleeves.

  • Super clear PVC film — 85–90% light transmission, haze below 5%, grade XSscpvcf
  • Bright clear half-transparent — a softer clear, used where full transparency looks too clinical
  • Standard clear (0.07 mm and up) — the everyday general-purpose clear film
  • Clear film, general range — 0.06–3.0 mm, width to 1.8 m

2. Coloured transparent — colour without opacity

Coloured transparent film keeps the see-through quality but shifts the tone. This is the family buyers use for tinted packaging and fashion accessories.

  • Coloured transparent PVC (彩透) — transparent film in a chosen colour, so the contents stay visible through a tint
  • TPU-feel high-elastic PVC (仿TPU) — a coloured transparent film with a high-elasticity additive, engineered to imitate the hand-feel and drape of TPU while remaining a PVC product at PVC cost. If you have been quoted TPU prices and the application does not need TPU’s hydrolysis resistance, ask us for this instead.

3. Matte and textured — surface over transparency

Where glare, fingerprints or a premium soft-touch finish matter more than clarity.

  • Frosted PVC film — single-side or double-side matte, diffuses light
  • Coloured frosted — matte surface in a chosen colour
  • Pearl frosted — pearlescent matte finish
  • Embossed (压纹) — texture pressed in during calendering
  • Q-pattern (Q纹) — fine regular emboss
  • Mesh-backed (网格布) — laminated to a mesh scrim for strength
  • Printed (印花) — pattern printed onto the film

4. Effect and decorative — the surface is the product

These films are chosen for how they look under light rather than for what they let through. Note that light transmission varies widely across this group — do not assume a number carries over from one effect to another.

  • Holographic (幻彩) — iridescent shift as the angle changes
  • Holographic embossed (幻彩压纹) — holographic effect combined with texture
  • Coloured laser (彩色镭射) — laser pattern in colour
  • Laser dot (镭射点点) — dotted laser pattern
  • Sparkle (满天星) — fine sparkle dispersed through the film
  • Gold glitter series (金葱) — gradient gold, five-point star, round dot variants
  • Glitter powder and glitter diamond — coarse glitter effects
  • Glow in the dark (夜光膜) — charges under light, glows after
  • Shaped decorative pieces — hearts, bears, daisies, flamingos, watermelon, lips, rainbow checker, diamond patterns, die-cut to shape

5. Jelly — its own family

Jelly film is a soft, thick, translucent material with a wet-look surface — closer to a moulded gel than to a thin film. It behaves differently from everything above, so we keep it as a separate family.

  • Jelly material (果冻料) — and eco-formulation variants
  • Jelly shaped pieces — butterfly, crown, snowflake, moon, daisy and more

This range is still being catalogued — if you need a specific jelly shape or a jelly sheet in a specific thickness, ask and we will confirm what tooling exists.

6. Opaque and industrial

Solid film where you need to block what is underneath, plus films for functional use.

  • Opaque glossy PVC film — 30 stock colours, smooth high gloss, fully opaque
  • Solid mesh-backed (实色夹网) — opaque film laminated to mesh
  • Rigid sheet (硬片) — the thicker end of the range, 0.5–3.0 mm, for die-cut panels
  • Anti-static door curtain (防静电PVC门帘) — functional industrial film

Not everything is PVC

We also laminate and supply TPU film, EVA/PEVA film, PU/PVC leather and glitter sheets. If you have been looking at a PVC page for a product that should be TPU, tell us — the two behave differently in hydrolysis, elasticity and welding, and specifying the wrong one is an expensive mistake.

Choosing between them

Three questions usually settle it:

  1. Must the product inside be visible? If yes, you are in family 1 or 2. If no, family 6.
  2. Is glare or fingerprinting a problem? If yes, family 3.
  3. Is the surface itself the selling point? If yes, family 4 or 5.

If it is still unclear, send a photo of the finished item and we will tell you which film it is imitating.
