Frosted PVC film is a clear PVC film with a uniform matte surface that diffuses light instead of reflecting it — no glare, no fingerprints, and a soft-touch feel. We supply it frosted on one side or both sides; double-side frosted is our main offering and is stocked in common gauges.
We calender this film in-house in Yiwu, Zhejiang, on eight production lines across a 10,000 m² plant. Thickness runs 0.06–3.0 mm with a ±0.02 mm tolerance, web width up to 1.8 m, and the frosted finish is pressed in during calendering — so the matte surface is part of the film, not a coating that rubs off.
Why frosted, and what makes a good frosted film
Frosted film is chosen for three things: it cuts glare under shop lighting, it hides fingerprints and minor scratches, and it gives packaging a premium soft-touch look that glossy film does not.
What separates a good frosted film from a poor one is consistency. Because the matte surface is formed on the calender roll, gauge and texture stay uniform across the web — a poor frosted film shows streaks and patchy dull spots; ours holds an even matte from edge to edge.

Single side or double side?
Double-side frosted (our main product) diffuses light from both directions and hides fingerprints entirely — used for album inner pages, folder covers and packaging where both faces are seen.
Single-side frosted keeps one face matte and one face clear or glossy. It is used where the film is laminated or welded onto a substrate and only the visible face needs the matte finish.
Tell us which you need when you inquire — the two are different runs, and specifying it up front avoids a costly wrong order.

Quality control
Every batch is checked with a dial gauge across the web to hold the ±0.02 mm tolerance, and the matte surface is inspected for even texture with no streaks. Rolls are wrapped in pearl cotton plus PVC film or kraft paper, then palletised for sea freight.
Production and stock
Double-side frosted film in common gauges is held in stock and ships in 3 days; custom thickness, colour and single-side finishing take 10–15 days from deposit.
Samples and ordering
Samples are available at a fee of RMB 300, refunded against your first order; freight is at the buyer’s cost. Specify single-side or double-side, thickness and width when requesting a sample.
Orders are confirmed against a signed specification sheet covering thickness, width, finish, colour, packing and quantity. Once confirmed, cancellation is not accepted — so we confirm the specification in writing before the run starts.

What is the difference between frosted PVC film and super clear PVC film?
Super clear film maximises light transmission with low haze; frosted film does the opposite — it diffuses light on purpose to remove glare and hide fingerprints. They are different surfaces for different jobs.
Do you frost one side or both?
Both. Double-side is our main offering and is stocked; single-side (matte one face, clear or glossy the other) is made to order.
Can you match my existing thickness?
Yes, to ±0.02 mm. Send the target thickness and we will confirm whether it falls on a standard gauge or needs a dedicated run.
Can you slit below 1 m?
Yes. A cutting fee applies, and we quote it upfront.
What is the minimum order?
For custom runs, 1 ton below 0.5 mm and 2 tons at 0.5 mm and above. If the gauge is already in stock, we accept smaller orders.
Which certifications do you hold?
REACH (SVHC) and RoHS. EN 71-3 (19 heavy metals) was tested by SGS and the report is available on request — a current-version report can be arranged for your order. We do not supply food-contact grades.
